It's here... it's finally here... Halloween!
Of course, not everyone celebrates Halloween. That's fine, no judgment here, but it's always been one of my favorites. My birthday is near the end of October, so on more than one occasion, I had a birthday/Halloween party. Witch-shaped sugar cookies for decorating? Yes, please! Of course, my younger self also wanted to combine a piano recital with a Halloween birthday party (the musical talents of Madeline!) if that tells you anything about what my younger self-thought was fun.
My grown-up version of a good time on Halloween most likely involves copious amounts of Reese's peanut butter cups and Harry Potter out the wazoo, but with it being baby F's first Halloween it's brought me back to the child's side of things. (He's lucky that Grammy was willing to make him a Halloween costume 'cause mama's sewing skills are a little subpar.)
